Dianna Parker
Dianna Parker, CFP®, CBEC®, is a testament to the diverse and enriching journey one can have in the realm of financial planning. As a Partner at Woodlawn Wealth, her path to financial expertise suprisingly began in the world of performing arts. Holding a master’s degree in music, Dianna initially pursued a career in teaching and symphony, while living and studying abroad in Europe. However, upon realization of the financial inconsistency as a musician, she courageously pivoted her career towards financial planning.
Transitioning from the arts to the corporate world, Dianna’s role in human resources at a startup company in Dallas opened her eyes to the financial management needs of highly compensated individuals. This experience, coupled with leading HR for several mortgage companies, paved her way into financial planning. In 1991, Dianna joined Lincoln Financial Group (subsequently acquired by Osaic Wealth), attracted by its compelling culture and robust resources for clients.
Dianna’s impressive career in private practice is characterized by her broad knowledge of complex estate planning, business succession planning, and retirement planning concepts. Her passion lies in developing and implementing innovative ideas that enhance the financial well-being of her clients, particularly owners of large, closely-held businesses.
In addition to her role at Woodlawn, Dianna has served as a National Resource and Executive Director of the Business Intelligence Institute. Her work involved providing technical support to advisors throughout the country and hosting educational sessions on current tax law and planning strategies. A summa cum laude graduate from Southern Methodist University, Dianna's academic excellence is mirrored in her professional contributions.
Dianna's life is as rich and varied as her professional journey. A lover of music, she cherishes the memories of performing with the Dallas Opera and her time in Italy. At home, a baby grand piano stands as a symbol of her enduring passion for music. Outside of her work, Dianna's world revolves around her nine grandchildren, six of whom are a short drive away. Her involvement in their lives, coupled with her love for the outdoors and nature, speaks volumes about her personal values and lifestyle.
Dianna's approach to financial planning is deeply rooted in the philosophy of ‘serving first.’ Her commitment to this principle is evident in her longstanding affiliation with The Resource Group, where she has served on the Board for over a decade. Currently, she serves on Osaic’s Council for High Net Worth Planning. In addition, as a Prestige Member and Advisory Specialist for Sagemark Consulting Private Wealth Services, Dianna focused on planning solutions for ultra-affluent families, demonstrating her ability to cater to a diverse client base.
In every aspect of her career, Dianna Parker embodies a blend of artistic passion and financial acumen, making her a unique and invaluable asset to Woodlawn Wealth and its clients.
